Girls are worthy

In our part of the country, some people still believe that to have girl as a child is almost equal to sin or they consider them bad luck. So all you husbands who think like this, note one thing - that your mother was once a girl, and your wife with whom you plan your family, is also a girl.

They don't even make them go to school giving a lame fact that she will get married and the money spent on her education will be wasted. No it's not wasted. An educated mother can give you educated generations.

I request all the parents - please stop this gender discrimination among your children and treat them equally because girls are equally worthy as boys... And all the girls, know your rights and fight for them, never let anyone take you for granted and never degrade yourself because you are an important part of this world and you are worthy.

Abusive Relationships... A Big NO!

When a woman is beaten by her husband or any other family member, at least she has some sympathy of the people around her if no actual support. But when a woman is bashed, bullied, doubted, accused and harassed in her own home, by her own husband, no one tries to understand her condition and no one supports her.

I can't keep quiet because it literally breaks my heart why everyone thinks that it's only the girl who is at fault and is responsible for not managing the relationship well. And then they compare today's women to those who have been through hell, been exploited and finished in their abusive marriages…

I deserve to get equal education rights as any boy, and I deserve to get equal wages as my male counterparts. It is about receiving equal status and social respect as any other fellow. Sadly, many women in different parts of the world aren’t getting those rights. Feminism isn’t about man-hating, and if you think “why do we need feminism?”, then look at our community where girls are sexually harassed, a three year old girl is getting raped, a wife is suffering acid attacks from her husband because he didn’t like her face.
